3 Things To Do Immediately After Your Worship Service Is Over

You strum the last chord... You say "Amen!"... The lights dim... The house music comes on... Now what? Your worship service has officially ended - what's your job now?

Here are 3 things to do immediately after your worship service is over:

1 | Thank/encourage your worship team members

Before you and your other worship team members part ways, quickly thank/encourage them. These are perfect moments to affirm someone! Did a vocalist lead a song for the first time? Tell them they sounded awesome! Did your drummer finally remember where the break was in the last song? Let them know you noticed. This doesn't have to be (and shouldn't be) a 5 minute conversation - compliment them and move on.

(By the way, often times when I write these posts, I'm preaching to myself. This is one area I need to do a better job at!)

2 | Get off stage and talk to the people in your church

Now that you've quickly checked in with your worship team, go talk to other people in your church. Get to know the people that you're leading. Too often, worship teams form a clique and just hang out on stage after the service. Then, they wonder why they can't connect with anyone while they're leading worship.

You spend enough time with your worship team. Go hang out with other people. If you have 5 worship team members and you each connect with 5 different people on Sunday, you'd make a personal connection with 100 different people in just one month!

3 | Keep worshiping

Worship is not limited to music. Keep worshiping in your interactions with others. Be as much of a worship leader off stage as you are on stage!

Okay... but the real question is: how do you end your service? Have you ever felt awkward after strumming that final chord? You know that things have officially ended but it doesn't seem like the rest of your church got the picture? Well, tomorrow on the LWW YouTube channel that's what we're talking about. In tomorrow's video, you'll learn "3 Steps To Let People Know Your Worship Service Has Ended."
