6 Things Worship Leaders Say (And What They Really Mean)
Worship leaders, we kind of have our own language. There are those certain phrases we use over and over again that communicate one thing but really mean another thing.
Here are 6 things worship leaders say and what they really mean:
1 | "I don't know about you but..."
TRANSLATION: I actually do know about you and I'm about to make a general statement everybody can agree with.
2 | "Amen?"
TRANSLATION: I just said something really important - AGREE WITH ME!
3 | "God we invite you into this place... we know that you were already here."
TRANSLATION: Uh oh!... I probably shouldn't have said that first part but I didn't know what else to say.
4 | "You sing it!"
TRANSLATION: I don't remember the words to the next part of the song.
5 | (Starts praying and says "God" every other word.)
TRANSLATION:... It's the "um" of praying...
6 | (At the beginning of the service) "As you make your way in..."
TRANSLATION: Everybody hanging out in the lobby and drinking coffee GET IN HERE!
