Book Recommendation - Worship Leaders, We Are Not Rock Stars by Stephen Miller
This book was brought to my attention by another worship leader about 5 years ago when we used it for a devotional for worship team practices.
The main premise of the book is that we are not rock stars. While the topic may seem to lean toward cynical at first, Stephen Miller does an amazing job shifting the focus from what we aren't to what we are!
We aren't rock stars but we are worshipers, theologians, storytellers, and several other identities Stephen explores in the book.
This book makes an amazing devotional because chapters consist of 10-15 short pages followed by discussion questions at the end. Have your team read a chapter during the week and then spend your time at practice discussing what they learned and answer those questions.
