Remember the worship wars? Maybe they're still going on in your church...

In the early 2000's, there was a decided shift in the landscape of corporate worship.

Most people chalk it up to musical style differences. One group preferred the timeless, classic hymns. The other group preferred new, modern songs that sounded like the music they listened to outside of church.

But I have a theory that there was actually A LOT more going on behind the shift than we realized. It wasn't just a musical change. It was a foundational change in how the church viewed corporate worship.

That's why, over on the Leading Worship Well YouTube channel, I just released a video called "The real difference between TRADITIONAL and CONTEMPORARY worship."

In the video, I'll share with you what I think really happened with the shift from "traditional" to "contemporary" worship in the early 2000's.
