I challenge you to write down 3 goals for your worship ministry in 2020.
Now is the perfect time to chart your course for this year! Maybe you already set some goals for YOURSELF headed into this new year. But, don't forget to set some goals for your worship ministry too!
Setting goals is the perfect way to work ON your ministry instead of just IN your ministry. It allows you to see an overhead, big picture view of where you're headed. And, when another busy season hits, it makes making decisions easier because you have something to guide you through the process. All you have to ask is: "Does this thing help me achieve one of the goals I set in my moment of clarity at the beginning of this year?"
If:
a) it doesn't - don't do it.
b) it does - do it!
But the thing is, as Dave Ramsey says: Goals that are not WRITTEN are not goals, they are wishes that will never happen. WRITE it down!
There is power in writing your goals down instead of just keeping them in your head because the simple act of putting them on paper is an act of commitment. As you craft the words that make up your goals, they become more concrete and you have to COMMIT to what you want them to be instead of having them be a jumbled mess inside of your head.
