On Time, Every Time

On time every time

If you want to build trust in leadership, you've got to do what you say you're going to do when you say you're going to do it.

The most practical way you can make that happen is to start on time and end on time every time.

Pick a start time for your rehearsals and stick to it. Let your team know in advance that from now on you will be starting your gatherings immediately on time. That means that they need to be in place and ready because at 6pm (or whenever your gathering starts) you are going to start rehearsing the first song.

Make sure you set this expectation in advance. Don't just spring it on them randomly. Give them a heads up. But once you set the expectation - stick to it!

Don't just start your practices on time. End them on time too! Let your team know that you want to be respectful of their time so you've allotted a predetermined amount of time for practice - an hour, two hours, whatever works best for your team.

This will make your team work more efficiently. It'll remove distractions because once the time is up, you're going to call it quits.

Let's lead our teams well - start and end on time every time. Build trust with your team!
