Saturday Challenge - Write A Worship Chorus

Saturday Challenge - Write A Worship Chorus

I challenge you to write a worship chorus today.

Even if you've never written a song before, take 15 minutes to sit down with your instrument and write a few lines of a chorus.

You don't even have to write an entire song today.

It doesn't even have to be good!

In fact, I'm giving you permission to write the WORST song you've ever heard.

Just write something.

Don't know where to start?

Pick 4 chords. If it's your first time writing a song - G, D, Em, C is a perfectly acceptable chord progression.

Then, think about what's going on in your life right now or in the life your church.

What has God been doing that you can respond to?

Sing your answer to that question as you play through your chords.

Boom! You've just written your first worship chorus.

Sure, maybe it's not the best song ever. Maybe it's not something you can share with your church yet. It might need some editing. But, at least it's something.

I challenge you to take 15 minutes to write a chorus today.
