Brian Campbell - Born Again - Album Review
I first met Brian at Creation Festival a few years ago. He was leading worship during the week and I loved how he had a heart for not performing but actually leading worship in a festival environment. He really struck me as a true worship leader.
Brian has been a part of the Leading Worship Well community for a while now - so let's show him some love and check out his new album Born Again by heading to https://www.briancampbellmusic.com/.
As a whole, the album is a journey thematically and musically. In 14 tracks, it takes the listener through what it means to find new life in Jesus - from an invitation to welcome God into your heart all the way to the new life we can experience through Jesus. The album begs for a complete listen through.
Musically, it's produced well but not over-produced. The arrangements are very attainable for any worship team's instrumentation. Most songs would work extremely well with just an acoustic guitar which drives the majority of the album.
Here are the top 3 songs to consider using in your church:
1 | Speak
This is a great reflective song asking God to speak into us. Favorite line: "Your overflow has overwhelmed my unbelief."
2 | Jesus Has Made The Way
Looking for a hymn to incorporate? This is it! Incorporating a new chorus and bridge with Jesus, I My Cross Have Taken.
3 | Overcome (Draw In Close)
Huge song that would make a great song of declaration of the worthiness of Jesus to be worshiped.
