New Chord Wednesday - D - x5x070

Guitar chord D unique voicing

This is a very thin way to play a D chord. It works well if you're playing secondary guitar or looking to drop some volume in a verse.

It's also a moveable chord! Move it down a few frets and you get a C chord (x3x050). Move it up a few frets and modify it slightly and you get an Em chord (07x080). Move it up a few more frets and you get a G chord (x 10 x 0 12 x).

This chord also creates a sense of intrigue brought by the open G string and the F# note on the 7th fret of the B string.
