New Chord Wednesday - G - 3x503x

G chord - worship leading guitar chords

This chord is all about building the song!

Use this chord when you are building into a louder part of a song (the final chorus or perhaps a loud bridge).

The reason this chord works in building is because you're losing some of the volume from a standard G chord (320033) but adding intensity by tripling the G note (3rd fret of the E string, 5th fret of the D string, and the G string). While you might be subtracting volume you're making up for it in sonically dominating the G note.

Try incorporating this chord into a building section of a song this week and let me know how it works for you!
