Saturday Challenge - Focus On The Lyrics
I challenge you to focus on the words you're singing tomorrow.
Have you ever had one of those moments where you're leading worship and you suddenly notice that you've been thinking about something completely random for the past 5 minutes? It's like you've been on autopilot and you don't know how to refocus. One of the most practical ways you can refocus is to focus on the words that you're singing. Think about what they mean. What truth are you singing about? What does it mean to you? What does it mean for the people you're leading?
It can be easy to get distracted while leading worship. There are 3 steps you can take to refocus:
1 | Recognize that you've become distracted
2 | Think about the words you're singing
3 | Forgive yourself
Before you lead tomorrow, commit to focusing on the lyrics you're singing.
If you want a little more context around these 3 steps, check out the post I put up earlier this week "3 Things You Can Do If You Get Distracted While Leading Worship!"
