I challenge you to see your worship leading AS worship tomorrow.
Have you ever had one of those moments where you get to the end of your time of worship and you think, "I was so focused on all of my worship leading responsibilities that I don't feel like I had a chance to worship?" You're not alone. There are a lot of responsibilities that come with leading worship - lyrics to remember, chords to play, and people to lead. But, what if being obedient to those responsibilities actually WAS worship?
John Piper explains worship this way, "The inner essence of worship is to know God truly and then respond from the heart to that knowledge... And then that deep, restful, joyful satisfaction in God overflows in demonstrable acts of PRAISE FROM THE LIPS and demonstrable acts of love in SERVING OTHERS FOR THE SAKE OF CHRIST." There are two acts of worship - praising God with our lips and SERVING OTHERS. What better way is there to serve others than to lead them in worship? Worship leading IS worship!
