We Are ALL Worship Leaders
If you could only communicate ONE thing to your worship team before they lead this Sunday, what would it be?
For me, it's this: We are ALL worship leaders.
Those five simple words have the ability to change EVERYTHING.
It's so easy for worship team members to think: "I only play bass." OR "I'm just a keyboardist." OR "I'm just a drummer."
But the truth is no matter the musical role you play on Sunday - you are a worship leader!
A worship leader is someone who seeks to point people to the goodness of God and provides the opportunity to respond to that truth.
That responsibility doesn't just lie on whoever is singing lead vocals - it falls on the entire team! And when your entire team understands their true responsibility, they take their role more seriously.
It's no longer just about smacking a snare drum. It's about pointing people to Jesus.
It's no longer about singing harmony. It's about reminding people of God's goodness.
It's no longer about making sure you get the 6/8 strum pattern right. It's about providing the opportunity for people to respond to God.
"We are ALL worship leaders." - That message doesn't just affect when your team steps on stage. It affects EVERYTHING they do as worship team members.
When you are a worship leader...:
... you prepare well.
... you put other's needs before your own.
... you take ownership of what you do.
... people look to you for guidance.
... you get to know the people you're leading.
... you represent your church ON stage and OFF stage.
In fact, I believe this message is so important to communicate that I want to help you communicate it to your team.
This coming Monday (July 20) - I'm releasing an 8 week devotional for worship teams called "We Are ALL Worship Leaders!"
Over this 8 week study, you'll lead your team in raising up the understanding of the IMPORTANCE of their role - not just on Sunday - but all through the week!
If you sign up for the launch list, you'll be the first to know when it comes out AND I'll send you a FREE devotional to start this discussion with your worship team.
