3 Things To Do OUTSIDE Of Sunday Mornings To Improve Your Worship Leading
Everybody wants the QUICK TIP for how to improve their worship leading in the moment.
"What can I do on Sunday mornings to improve?!"
And... if you want to know the answer to that question - go download the FREE audio training I put together called "5 Tips To Instantly Improve Your Worship Leading."
But the truth is, true worship leading improvement happens OUTSIDE of Sunday mornings.
Sunday is only 14% of the week! If you really want to improve, you've got to learn what you can do the other 86% of the time!
Here are 3 things you can do OUTSIDE of Sunday mornings to improve your worship leading:
1 | Build relationships with the people you're leading in worship
The best way to improve your worship leading really has nothing to do with music at all.
RELATIONSHIPS are the key to leading worship well. It's getting to know the people you're leading.
It doesn't matter how good of a singer or instrumentalist you are, if people don't trust you, they won't let you lead them.
So, get to know the people of your church OUTSIDE of Sunday mornings.
You know that person you always see sitting in the 6th row in the middle section while you lead worship? Go up to them this Sunday and invite them to something. Get to know them!
Do that over and over and over again and you will start to feel connected to the people you are leading in worship because... well, you ARE connected to the people you're leading.
2 | Worship through your set list by yourself
Don't let Sunday morning be the FIRST time you've worshiped through your set list.
If you are going to lead people in worship, you have to know WHERE you're leading them.
So don't go on the journey for the first time on Sunday morning. Do it in advance.
Worship through your set list - discern where God is taking your church on Sunday.
3 | Communicate with your pastor
You don't have to wait for God to supernaturally align where your pastor wants to lead your church on Sunday and where you lead your church on Sunday... you can just talk to them in advance and plan together.
Planning a cohesive worship gathering for your church allows greater clarity in your leading.
