Here are 3 ways to celebrate what happened in your worship ministry in 2018:
1 | Make a list of where you were at the beginning of 2018 and where you are now
It's one thing to simply reflect on what happened, but you can take it to a whole new level by actually writing down your 2018 wins. This is the perfect time to bust out your goals you made at the beginning of last year and see how you did. Grab a piece of paper, open a Word document, or open the notes app on your phone and make two columns: beginning of 2018 and end of 2018. Then, start to compare where you were at the beginning of the year and where you're at now.
Think about your personal worship leading, the worship culture in your church, how your worship team has grown, etc.
2 | Include your worship team
It's hard to remember everything that happened by yourself, so include your worship team in the process. The first rehearsal of the year is the perfect time to reflect on what happened in 2018, reorient yourselves, and then step into 2019 with a plan. You don't have to come up with all of these things yourself - include your team! Make it a conversation. Ask the question: what were some things that happened in 2018 that we can celebrate?
3 | Use what you celebrated to set your goals for this year
The final step, is to not JUST celebrate what happened but use those ideas to create your goals for 2019. Maybe there were some goals from last year you didn't quite reach or some areas of improvement you still need to work on. Use those to craft your 2019 worship leading goals.
