New Chord Wednesday - C#m - x42400

Guitar chord C#m unique voicing

(pssst! I saw Cory Asbury use this chord while playing Reckless Love so you pretty much have to try it out.)

Bar chords have their place but there's just something special about a nice open chord.

The problem is when it comes to a C#m it seems like you have to play a bar chord (x46654). Bar chords, by nature result in a thinner sound.

So when you're playing in the key of E you hit these nice big open sounding E (022100), A (x02220), and B (x24400) chords and you're left with a thin C#m (x46654).

Let me introduce you to - C#m (x42400).

This chord sounds nice and full and matches well with the other open sounding chords in the key of E. It's also more accessible than that grotesque bar chord version.
